Where can I find the NeoTank spec sheet?

You can download the specification sheet here.

How much space does it take up in my cupboard?

The unit is 310mm H x 157mm W x 206mm D. About the size of a toaster and is designed to clip to the internal wall of the cupboard.

How much does it cost to run?

How does it work?

The heating element is 100% energy efficient as it is completely submerged into the water and all energy is transferred to the water. It is unlike kettles, microwaves, stovetops and other alternatives that lose energy by heating the air and surrounding elements. The cost to run is equal to a 40W bulb being run for one full day.

How often do you need to change the filter?

It is recommended that this is done every 12 months depending on usage. The flow of water slowing lets you know the filter needs to be changed. The InSinkErator Ebay store offers a twin pack of fillers (2 filters) for a purchase price of $210 and is dispatched throughout Australia free of charge.

What is it made of?

316 Stainless Steel 100% welded with no silicone joints that could leak.

How much does installation cost?

This is entirely dependent on the installation environment the plumber encounters on site.

Can this fit on my current bench top?

The standard opening (hole drilled) for the majority of taps installed in Australia is 33mm. Multitap also requires a 33mm opening therefore it can be retrofit at any stage.

What is the warranty?

2 years for the tank and 5 Years for the Multitap (the Hottap range offers a 2 year warranty).

Does the tank require ventilation?

Unlike some hot water tanks on the market the Neotank does not require cupboard ventilation.

What is the tank capacity?

Is a 2.5 Litre (L) tank and has been specifically designed to meet residential consumer’s needs. The compact 2.5L capacity tank allows consumers to heat only what they need while conserving energy for environmental stewardship.

What temperature does the tank warm the water to?

The Neotank has an easy to adjust electronic temperature control from 88-98°. It maintains the precise temperature setting ±0.5°.

Is it true all taps sold in Australia must be WaterMarked?

This is 100% correct and all InSinkErator taps are WaterMarked. Plumbing products must have a valid WaterMark certification before you can register them under the Water Efficiency Labelling and Standards (WELS) scheme.

WaterMark is a certification mark provided by independent certifying authorities. It confirms the product:

  • complies with the Plumbing Code of Australia
  • is fit for purpose
  • meets relevant Australian Standards relating to product quality, including health and safety.

Certification is required before a licenced plumber can install plumbing products, in accordance with state and territory plumbing regulations.

What is the WELS rating for Multitap?

WELS stands for Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme. Multitap has a 5 Star WELS rating.
